ScareForce SMS Messaging Program

ScareForce is a workforce-management platform operated by Fear Town Productions LLC, 200 Middle Highway 278, Barrington, RI 02806.

Program overview

ScareForce sends optional operational workforce text messages to employees and applicants who have affirmatively opted in. These are transactional and account-related messages tied to a person’s work with a ScareForce employer — not marketing or promotional messages. Message categories include:

Account verification codes
Employee onboarding notifications
Shift assignments
Schedule changes
Shift reminders
Availability notifications
Time-clock and attendance reminders
Other account-related operational notifications

• SMS consent is optional. It is never a condition of employment or of using ScareForce.

• Users can complete the application, onboarding, or account process without consenting to SMS.

• Entering a mobile phone number does not by itself provide consent.

How users opt in

Consent is collected through ScareForce application, onboarding, or account-settings forms. The production opt-in flow is:

The user enters or confirms a mobile phone number.
The user reviews the SMS disclosure shown below.
The user actively selects a separate SMS consent checkbox.
The checkbox is unchecked by default.
The user submits the form.
The platform stores the consent event, timestamp, source, and disclosure version.

• Consent is not inferred from possession of a phone number.

• Consent is not bundled into Terms of Service acceptance.

• Consent is not bundled into Privacy Policy acceptance.

• Consent is not a condition of employment.

• Consent is not required to use the platform.

• A manager entering an employee’s number does not automatically create employee SMS consent.

The control below is the same component and the samedisclosure wording used on the live ScareForce application and onboarding forms, rendered here as a non-submitting example. The checkbox is shown unchecked, exactly as a real user first sees it.

Optional — you can continue without opting in. Entering a phone number does not opt you in; only checking this box does.

Application & onboarding opt-in example: the SMS checkbox is optional, separate from required policies, and unchecked by default. Users may continue without enabling SMS notifications.
